Opening day of 2026 Summerfest presented by American Family Insurance (photos above) on a beautiful, sunny day on Milwaukee, Wisconsin's lakefront, is complete.
At the American Family Insurance House, located on the Summerfest grounds, the iconic red roofline beckons fans for the opportunity to be in the audience for up-close-and-personal performances by musical artists also appearing at the bigger stages at the festival.
Access to the performances is on a first-come, first-served basis. Visitors can begin lining up one hour before the performance and 250 fans are permitted in the House for each performance. In addition, the first 50 fans in line receive the opportunity to experience a post-concert meet-and-greet with the artist.

Beyond the music, the House also features the opportunity to customize festival fanny packs and bucket hats with multiple color choices and pins and patches. Visitors can snap a photo in the photo booth to share Summerfest memories, enjoy the views from the House rooftop, and relax in the backyard space. All activities and spaces are free and open to the public. New this year is a live view outside in the backyard of the House, so fans can hear and see House performances after capacity has been reached.
As part of its Summerfest sponsorship, the first 10,000 festival attendees who came through the gate on opening day received a souvenir Summerfest hat courtesy of American Family. Each year, these hats have become a popular sight all during Summerfest and throughout Milwaukee.
The American Family Insurance House is located near the Mid-Gate fountain and is open from 12-8 p.m. daily. Remaining Summerfest dates are June 19-20, June 25-27 and July 2-4. See www.summerfest.com or www.amfam.com/summerfest for more details.
American Family Insurance and Milwaukee World Festival, Inc. (MWF) entered into a partnership agreement where American Family Insurance became presenting sponsor of Summerfest in 2017. On May 7, 2026 they announced a multi-year partnership extension. The renewal includes the following:
· Presenting sponsor of Summerfest
· American Family Insurance Amphitheater
· American Family Insurance House at Summerfest
· Community impact (Let the Music Play Grant Program)
The partnership renewal reinforces American Family Insurance's long-standing commitment to Summerfest and the broader community.
American Family Insurance's presenting sponsorship of Summerfest is just one example of the company's commitment to investing in communities.
The partnership combines American Family's legacy of inspiring, protecting and restoring dreams with Summerfest's legacy of bringing the Milwaukee community together to embrace and celebrate the great diversity of the city and area (and beyond).
Aligned with Summerfest's nonprofit mission to provide a showcase for the performing arts, the American Family Insurance House not only inspires and supports the dreams of local musicians, but also Milwaukee's music students and the next generation of artists.
Local nonprofits Grace Weber's Music Lab (a free monthly music accelerator for high school students) and Ko-Thi Dance Company, a recent Let the Music Play program grant recipient (a Summerfest program supported by American Family that extends its reach into the Milwaukee community to support nonprofits and schools that offer music-based learning) are also performing on the House stage.
Local American Family agency owners will serve as emcees for these performances and serve as a connection between the company and the community.
