May 2025 Program Guide for Daggerwing Nature Center


All programs are by reservation only, unless otherwise stated. Please register online at www.pbcparks.com ; under "Online Services" click on Register/Pay for Program, or visit the nature center to register and make payment. All participants are required to sign a Program Participation Form before each program. Activities promote environmental awareness, conservation, recreation and educate on health and wellness in the community.

ANIMAL FEEDINGS & TALKS

Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, 2:45 p.m.

Saturdays, 1:00 p.m.

All ages, FREE (Reservations not required)

During feeding time, listen to a short talk about one of Daggerwing's resident animals.

CITY NATURE CHALLENGE 2025: SOUTH FLORIDA #CNCSOFLO

Tuesday, April 29 - Sunday, May 4, 2025


Use iNaturalist to identify as many species of wild animals, plants and all other living organisms from the photos taken during the City Nature Challenge observation window (April 25-28). For more details, please visit www.cncsoflo.com .

SENSATIONAL SNAKES

Saturday, May 3, 10:30 a.m.

All ages, $5/participant (Reservations required)

Join a naturalist for a family-friendly program focusing on the amazing world of snakes! Learn about these slithering serpents and meet one up close and personal.

MOTHER NATURE & ME: A IS FOR ALLIGATOR

Get ready to jump and shout with Mother Nature through stories, live animals, activities, and a craft specifically designed for toddlers and preschoolers!

DOCENT LED BOARDWALK TOUR

Saturday, May 10, 11:00 a.m.

All ages, FREE

Join an educational docent on a free guided tour of our boardwalk! Discover the plants and animals that make the wetlands their home. Space is limited. Sign-in at the front desk 15 minutes prior to the start of the tour.

DAGGERWING VISITS THE LIBRARY: ALLIGATORS

Tuesday, May 13, 3:00 p.m.

Adults and children ages 5+, FREE (Reservations required)

INTRO TO ARCHERY

Saturday, May 24, 10:30 a.m.

Adults and children ages 8+, $10/participant (Reservations required)

Join USA Archery certified staff and learn about the exciting sport of archery. This program teaches archery safety, skills, and proper use of a bow and arrow before practicing on the range. Equipment is provided. Note: Bows may be difficult to pull for smaller children.
