River Talks is back in 2026 with a new format, featuring engaging conversations throughout the year. River Talks is a free series of presentations and tours for community members to learn more about the Santa Fe River, its watershed, and related topics. From the headwaters of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains to our community's treatment facilities and cherished wetlands, these events offer unique access to the people and places shaping the future of our water.
First Event of the Year
Flora and Fauna of the Santa Fe River Watershed
When: Thursday, March 12, 2026, from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
Where: Iconik Red, 1366 Cerrillos Road
Speakers: Arle Kruckeberg, Native Plant Society, and Michael Carr, Santa Fe County
This presentation will cover specific riparian species found in the Santa Fe River Watershed, as well as the Santa Fe River iNaturalist Project and the City Nature Challenge.
All events in the River Talks series are free and open to the public and will be held at Iconik Red.
