The show will go on! Thanks to the generous support of Pompano Beach's Fishing Village businesses and Firefly Drone Shows, the City's popular Drone Show Extravaganza will return to light up the skies for a spectacular fifth year.

In 2022, the City of Pompano Beach launched South Florida's first municipal drone show, pioneering a trend that municipalities throughout the state would later follow. Now, the City that started it all is ready to dazzle audiences once again with another unforgettable night over the Atlantic Ocean.

Mark your calendars for Veterans Day Weekend, Saturday, November 7, as the acclaimed Drone Show Extravaganza returns to the beach just south of the Fisher Family Pier. The free, family-friendly celebration will feature live music beginning at 5:30 p.m., followed by a spectacular 15-minute drone show over the ocean at 7:00 p.m.

Presented by Firefly Drone Shows, the aerial production will feature 500 illuminated drones choreographed to music, creating patriotic tributes and coastal-inspired designs high above the shoreline.

Although the City made the difficult decision not to include the Drone Show Extravaganza in this year's budget as part of efforts to reduce expenses, community partners stepped up to keep the tradition alive. The generous support of the Fishing Village businesses and Firefly Drone Shows has made it possible for residents and visitors to once again enjoy this signature Pompano Beach celebration.

What began as a trailblazing premiere has skyrocketed into one of South Florida's most anticipated fall traditions. Each year, thousands of families, neighbors and visitors spread their blankets across the sand for an enchanting evening filled with music, wonder and hometown pride.

Event Schedule

5:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. | Beachside Festivities
Enjoy live music along the beach beginning with a DJ, followed by a party band from Junior's Entertainment Group performing a mix of Top 40 and retro hits. Entertainment will continue after the drone show.

7:00 p.m. | Drone Show
Firefly Drone Shows will present an all-new, 15-minute aerial display featuring 500 choreographed drones illuminating the sky over the Atlantic Ocean.

The event is free and open to the public. Spectators are encouraged to gather on the beach south of the Fisher Family Pier. The Pier will close in advance of the show.

An expanded free shuttle service will begin at 1:00 p.m. from Pompano Community Park, 1660 NE 10th Street. Shuttles are ADA accessible and have space for coolers and lawn chairs.
