ELDON, IA - Representative Zach Nunn (IA-03) joined local leaders, educators, and community partners in Eldon to announce a $412,500 federal investment to expand educational programming and strengthen tourism at the American Gothic House Center. B-roll from the visit is available here and below.
"This investment is a historic win for the Eldon community and helps transform one of Iowa's most iconic landmarks into an even stronger hub for education, tourism, and community life," said Rep. Nunn . "By expanding classroom space at the American Gothic House Center, we're creating new opportunities for students and families to learn and connect while bringing more visitors and economic growth to Southeast Iowa."
During the visit, Rep. Nunn announced the funding alongside local officials and toured the site of the future ADA-compliant classroom addition. The project will expand year-round educational programming, improve accessibility, and strengthen tourism and economic activity across Wapello County.
