22 March marks 10 years since Brussels terrorist attacks

On 22 March 2016, Pascal Ferir was about to leave on a trip to New York with his wife. While they were waiting in the queue for baggage check-in at Brussels-Zaventem Airport, a bomb exploded less than 10 metres away. Pascal was injured, and this tragic event has profoundly changed their family life, as his wife lost most of her hearing. This has also had an impact on their children. Their son, Gauthier, shares his experience and speaks for the children of victims.

On that day, Brussels experienced coordinated terrorist attacks that killed 32 people and injured over 300 others. The attacks involved two suicide bombings at Brussels Airport and the Maelbeek metro station.
