The City of Madison Parks Division is introducing a new Pool Waiver process for the 2026 Goodman Pool season. All guests and visitors - including lap swimmer and tot time users, must complete the Pool Waiver before entering the Goodman Pool gates. The process includes confirming household information, completing a waiver, and ensuring a current photo is on file before visiting. Completing these steps in advance will help create a faster, smoother entry experience for everyone on opening day, set for Thursday, June 11.
The new Goodman Pool waiver process, approved by the Board of Park Commissioners, was developed following community engagement meetings with stakeholders such as Madison Metropolitan School District, Madison School & Community Recreation, Focused Interruption Coalition, Public Health Madison & Dane County, Goodman Waves, policymakers, and other community leaders.
The Pool Visitor Checklist is designed to help reduce delays at the gate and make it easier for guests to enjoy their visit from the moment they arrive at the pool. The full process and instructions are available at: GoodmanPool.com/checklist
"Preparing ahead of time means less time waiting and more time enjoying the pool," said Lauren Travis, Parks Youth Engagement Coordinator. "We encourage families and visitors to take a few minutes before opening day to complete the checklist and confirm everything is ready."
