14-Year-Old Student Arrested Friday for Bringing a Gun to High Road Academy

An 8th grade student at High Road Academy was arrested this morning for bringing a gun to school.

The 14-year-old stated he was carrying the loaded handgun, which was reported stolen from a vehicle theft in Springfield, for protection after school.

He was charged in Juvenile Court with bringing a weapon onto school property and juvenile handgun possession.
