On March 4, 2026, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Elmedin Konaković, welcomed the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Syed Qaiser Abbas Shah, on a farewell visit.
They acknowledged excellent and friendly political relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, expressing mutual interest in further strengthening and enhancing bilateral cooperation in all areas of common interest.
Minister Konaković expressed gratitude to Pakistan for its continuous and principled support to Bosnia and Herzegovina, both bilaterally and multilaterally. He introduced the interlocutor to the current political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, emphasizing the European path and reform processes.
The two officials also exchanged views on current security challenges amid complex geopolitical relations.
Minister Konaković thanked the Pakistani Ambassador for his engagement and contributions to improving bilateral relations during his diplomatic mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Ambassador Shah emphasized that Pakistan and Bosnia and Herzegovina have sincere and friendly relations, and reiterated Pakistan's strong support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
At the conclusion of their conversation, Minister Konaković wished the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan much success in his future professional engagement.
