Sometimes care means more than just healing the body.
The smiles and laughs, along with a good book to bring comfort and stimulation made for a special Read a Book Day celebration at Studer Family Children's Hospital.
The theme of "Reading is Healing" really hit the mark as hundreds of books were handed out to our pediatric patients in honor of the national awareness day.
A huge thank you to Mayor D.C. Reeves for coming to read "The ABCs of Pensacola" to our patients and to the Pensacola Blue Wahoos for sending Kazoo to help hand out the books along with plenty of hugs and high fives.
