COLUMBUS, OHIO - In case you missed it, Ohio conservative commentator Jack Windsor blasted Jon Husted's failing Senate campaign, saying things "don't look good" for the Husted team.
Jack Windsor, conservative radio host: We're getting a lot of mixed signals, and some of them, frankly, I hate to say it on air, but they don't look good for Jon Husted at this point. I believe it's going to come down to turnout. I still worry about some Republicans voting one way at the top of the ticket and another way, just you know, or maybe that would be reversed. I can't remember if governors first or U.S. Senate is first, but regardless, I could see somebody voting for Vivek and then maybe somebody voting for Sherrod, say in the Mahoning Valley. But what's your read on that matchup right now?
Chris Long, President of the Ohio Christian Alliance: Well, Jon has had kind of a stumble here as of late. The polls have gone against him. I don't know really why that is. […] You go back eight weeks ago, Jon was actually leading in the race by one or two points.
Ohio Democratic Party Senior Communications Advisor Tony Wen released the following statement:
"Jon Husted's failing campaign is such a disaster that even conservative commentators are calling him out. Ohioans are learning the truth about how Husted led the charge to bring hundreds of data centers to Ohio, is at the center of the largest bribery scandal in state history, and voted to keep the Epstein files secret. No amount of spin can fix that."
