COLUMBUS, OHIO - Shocking new reporting shows that Jon Husted attempted to wipe his Wikipedia page of many scandals, including covering up his long record of protecting pedophiles and child predators.

This new revelation follows a long trend of Jon Husted protecting and associating with predators and pedophiles:

• Jon Husted appointed his close ally, Andrew Havas, to be his campaign chair in Ohio's largest county despite public records showing he served jail time for committing sexual misconduct with a minor.

• Jon Husted is still proudly touting the endorsement of State Representative Rodney Creech, who has been accused of sexual misconduct involving a minor relative, while his current Sandusky County campaign chair also came under fire for talking to young girls about their sex lives.

• It was revealed that Husted's record of protecting pedophiles and predators dates back more than twenty years, when, as Ohio Speaker of the House, he gutted legislation to help survivors of sexual abuse hold their abusers accountable.

• Jon Husted has been under fire for taking more than $116,000 directly from Epstein co-conspirator Les Wexner, including a maximum donation just a few weeks before he voted to block the release of the Epstein files.

• Online accounts tied to Ohio Republican Senator Jon Husted have repeatedly scrubbed his Wikipedia page of his various scandals going back decades, including sections that detailed his record of gutting protections for pedophilia victims.

• Beginning in 2010, a series of burner accounts, anonymous IP addresses and at least one Husted staffer tried to wipe his Wikipedia page clean; removing references to his many ethical controversies.

• From 2010 until this year, several brand-new Wikipedia users were making major edits on Husted's page without peer control, leading one user, who turned out to be a member of Husted's staff, to be banned from the site.

• In 2010, a brand-new Wikipedia account called "Buckeyejenny" was created and repeatedly removed sections from Husted's Wikipedia page about his numerous ties to lobbyists, but also notably a section entitled "Pedophilia Legislation Controversy."

• In 2006, as a member of the Ohio House, Husted pushed a watered-down version of a bill that had passed the Senate called the Clergy Abuse Bill, which, among other remedies it provided to the victims of sex abuse scandals of the Catholic Church in Ohio, created a one-year window to allow families of clergy sex abuse victims to sue perpetrators after the 35-year statute of limitations.

• Husted, who had been lobbied by special interest groups tied to the Catholic Church, stripped the civil litigation window out of the House version of the bill, and opted instead for the creation of a registry of clergy who had been found liable for abuse.

• Just as soon as a section on his Wikipedia page went up detailing Husted's response to the Clergy Abuse Bill, it was gone; deleted by Buckeyejenny who had never posted anything else to Wikipedia.
