On May 2, SUA welcomed students, alumni, faculty, families, and friends back to campus for Homecoming 2026, a celebration of the university's 25th anniversary in Aliso Viejo.
The festivities kicked off the evening before with a performance by Latin Grammy-winning jazz flutist Nestor Torres at the Soka Performing Arts Center. By Saturday afternoon, the Campus Green was alive with the smells of tacos and burgers wafting from food trucks, the thunderous sounds of the student taiko club Josho Daiko, and the delight of children playing with new friends. Generations gathered as alumni caught up with former classmates and beloved professors, while current students shared glimpses of today's vibrant campus life.
The day concluded with men's and women's soccer alumni games, as Lions past and present took the field together - a fitting end to a weekend that reminded everyone why they keep coming back.
