Greenberg Traurig Advises Korean Consortium on $514M Financing for Guam Solar‑Plus‑Storage Project

MIAMI - March 11, 2026 - Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, P.A. represented a consortium of leading Korean energy and construction companies - Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO), Korea East-West Power Co., Ltd., and Samsung C&T Corporation - in connection with a $514 million credit agreement to support the development of the Yona Solar Power Project, a large-scale solar-plus-battery energy storage system in Guam.

The credit agreement was executed earlier last month, with Natixis, Singapore Branch, The Export-Import Bank of Korea, and DBS Bank Ltd as the lenders.

The project will include a 132-megawatt solar plant and a 325-megawatt-hour battery energy storage system, which is expected to supply clean energy to about 20,000 households when it reaches completion in 2028, becoming the island's largest solar project. The Guam Power Authority will purchase all electricity generated by the project under a 25-year power purchase agreement.
