SMITHFIELD, N.C., Sept. 30, 2025 - Marcus & Millichap (NYSE: MMI), a leading commercial real estate brokerage firm specializing in investment sales, financing, research and advisory services, announced today the sale of Slim Chickens, a fast-casual restaurant in Smithfield, North Carolina, for $4,180,000.
"Slim Chickens in Smithfield has been well received by the community with strong sales since opening in late 2024," said Andrew Margulies, senior managing director investments with Marcus & Millichap. "The developer decided to sell the property to take advantage of the low cap rate environment for high-performing quick-service restaurant investments. We sold the property to an out-of-state investor with ties to the Raleigh-Durham market."
Margulies, along with Patrick Barratt and Harrison Creason, represented the seller, a developer based in North Carolina.
Slim Chickens at 1311 N. Brightleaf Blvd. was built in 2024. The 2,761-square-foot property sits on a 1.26-acre parcel with a double drive-thru. The site is adjacent to a top-performing Walmart and surrounded by national retailers such as Dollar Tree, AT&T and Bealls. Slim Chickens has more than 300 locations across the United States, Turkey, Germany and the United Kingdom, with over 1,200 additional units in development.
