Washburn Earns Recognition

Topeka, Kan. - Washburn University is one of the best colleges in the nation to work for, according to the Great Colleges to Work For^® program. The results, based on an employee survey, serve as a method of identifying the strengths of a campus work environment as well as areas that can be improved.

The program awards honor roll status to institutions earning special recognition in one or more of 10 categories. Washburn excelled in six of those categories including:

This is the first time Washburn has participated in the program. The survey results are based on a two-part assessment process: an institution questionnaire that captures employment data and workplace policies from the institution, and a survey administered to administrators, faculty and staff. The primary factor in deciding whether an institution receives recognition is employee feedback.
