VIENNA, 17 September (UN Information Service) - The new Permanent Representative of Liechtenstein to the United Nations (Vienna), Simon Biedermann presented his credentials today to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV) Ghada Waly.
During his career, Mr. Biedermann has served in various capacities, among them:
Secretary General, Ministry of General Government Affairs and Finance (2021-2025); Secretary General, Ministry of Infrastructure, Economy and Sports (2020-2021); Professional Trustee and Deputy Head of Compliance, Continor Treuhand Anstalt, Vaduz (2017-2020); Senior Political Advisor to the Deputy Prime Minister (2013-2017); Secretary General, Ministry of Home Affairs, Education and Sports (2009-2013); Senior Advisor, Ministry of Education (2007-2009); and teacher, German and English Literature, Liechtenstein Gymnasium (2003-2007).
Mr. Biedermann holds a Master of Advanced Studies in business administration from the University of Liechtenstein and a Master of Arts in German and English Studies from the University of Bern and Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich.
He speaks English, French and German.
