WASHINGTON - Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), a lifelong family farmer and member of the Senate Agriculture Committee, accepted Growth Energy's 2025 "Fueling Growth Award" for his efforts to support biofuel production.
"Homegrown biofuels are good, good, good. They're good for lowering prices, good for our environment and good for America's national security. As an Iowa corn and soybean farmer, I personally know about the many benefits of biofuels, and many other Iowans do too. In Washington, I'll keep pushing to expand biofuels markets at the federal policymaking tables, especially through my continued advocacy for year-round, nationwide E15," Grassley said.
"The American ethanol industry wouldn't be what it is today without Senator Grassley," Growth Energy CEO Emily Skor said. "His multi-decade track record of support has helped our industry grow into a key source of revenue for American farmers and a global player in energy and agriculture. It's our privilege to honor him with Growth Energy's Fueling Growth award again this year, in recognition of his unwavering commitment to homegrown ethanol and the thousands of Americans that depend on it."

Since establishing the RFS in the Energy Policy Act of 2005, Grassley has conducted oversight to ensure the executive branch implements the law as intended. Additionally, Grassley has stood up for biofuels and the importance of the RFS countless times by calling out the EPA across administrations.
