Allegheny County − June 12, 2025 - Today, Sen. Wayne Fontana announced that Allegheny County and three other nonprofit organizations were awarded a total of $503,379 in state and federal grants from the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD).
"It is great to see state investment in organizations and programs working on violence prevention," Fontana said. "The safety of our neighborhoods and communities must be everybody's priority and the state government continues to step up with targeted and meaningful investment."
During its June 11 meeting, the PCCD approved grant awards from multiple funding programs totaling about $9.2 million to organizations and governments across the commonwealth.
