Canadian printmaker Jonathan S. Green artist talk and exhibition, 'Of the elements', Feb. 11

Canadian Printmaker Jonathan S. Green will be visiting the UAA Department of Art for his upcoming solo exhibition, 'Of the elements', featuring intaglio, lithography and sculptural works.

Thanks to the generous support of the Elizabeth Tower Endowment for Canadian Studies, Green will be presenting a public artist lecture, along with an informal gallery talk within his exhibition. Please join us for these free events!

Jonathan S. Green is of Mi'kmaq and Inuit, British and Scottish heritage. His exhibition, 'Of the elements', draws on historical and contemporary sources to explore how humans interact with the natural world. Set in forests and oceans with traces of human presence, the works foreground fire and ice as the central forces shaping the landscape. Together, they look to the past while imagining new ways of engaging with our environment.
