City of Wilmington Announces Formation of the Mayor’s Economic Development Roundtable; Yvonne Deadwyler Named Chair

Wilmington, DE - The City of Wilmington today announced the formation of the Mayor's Economic Development Roundtable, established under Mayor Carney's Executive Order to strengthen collaboration across business, nonprofit, education, and civic sectors. The group will serve as a strategic advisory body focused on expanding opportunity, supporting inclusive economic growth, and aligning community partners around shared priorities for Wilmington's future.

Mayor Carney has appointed Yvonne V. Deadwyler, President and CEO of the New Castle County Chamber of Commerce, to serve as Chair of the Roundtable.

"Wilmington is strongest when its leaders work together, and Yvonne Deadwyler is exactly the kind of collaborative, forward-thinking leader who can help guide this work," said Mayor Carney. "Her experience building partnerships, supporting businesses, and driving innovation will be invaluable as we bring stakeholders together to strengthen our city."
