Blackpool remembers

Blackpool will pay its respects at the annual Remembrance Sunday Service on Sunday 9 November, held at the war memorial on the Promenade.

The service will begin at 10.55am, featuring the two minutes' silence, a service of remembrance, and a wreath-laying ceremony in memory of those who gave their lives in service of their country, followed by a short parade at approximately 11.45am.

Attendance information

  • Entry into the war memorial arena and seating area is for invited and pre-registered guests only
  • Public viewing will be available around the perimeter of the arena on a standing-only basis
  • Members of the public who wish to lay a personal wreath may do so after the service has concluded

Please note: No vehicles are permitted to park in or around the war memorial or the surrounding promenade area.

Attendees are encouraged to plan ahead and use available public transport options where possible.
