City Delays Opening on Friday
Fredericksburg, Texas - Due to the ongoing winter weather situation in the Texas Hill Country, the City of Fredericksburg will delay the opening of buildings, facilities and offices until 10 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 10.
Officials have observed icing on elevated surfaces in the county and have made the decision to delay the opening of the following: City Hall, Animal Shelter, Gillespie County Health Division, Law Enforcement Offices, Municipal Court, Recycling Center and Sanitary Landfill.
Emergency personnel and public works crews will continue to be available throughout the duration of the weather event to respond as needs arise.
Citizens are encouraged to avoid unnecessary travel and to use caution when driving, especially on bridges and overpasses.
