Chinese Consul General in Brisbane Ruan Zongze Pays a Farewell Visit on Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner

On 12 June 2026,Consul-General Dr Ruan Zongze paid a farewell visit on Adrian Schrinner,Lord Mayor of Brisbane at Brisbane City Hall.

Dr Ruan stated that the Consulate-General of China in Brisbane has maintained close communication with Brisbane City Council over the years and expressed appreciation for Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner and Brisbane City Council's support for the work of Consulate-General of China in Brisbane. Dr Ruan hoped that both sides would take the opportunity of the 2032 Summer Olympic Games to deepen their sister-city relationship.

Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner thanked Dr Ruan for the contributions made toward enhancing mutual understanding and trust between the two sides.He expressed optimism about the development prospects of China's new energy sector and other fields,and stated that efforts to advance local-level exchanges and cooperation would continue.
