Penn State Harrisburg to host second annual MLK Day basketball classic Jan. 19

Penn State Harrisburg is set to host the second annual MLK Day "I Have a Dream" High School Basketball Classic bringing together local high school teams.

MIDDLETOWN, Pa. - Penn State Harrisburg will host its second annual MLK Day "I Have a Dream" High School Basketball Classic on Monday, Jan. 19, 2026, on campus. The event will celebrate the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. through community, competition and service.
The event will feature six local high school teams:
Girls' games:
- McCaskey vs. Susquehanna Township - Noon
- Bishop McDevitt vs. Central Dauphin - 2 p.m.
Boys' game:
- Central Dauphin vs. Central York - 4 p.m.
All teams are being asked to bring nonperishable food items to donate to local food banks. Penn State Harrisburg will match all donations.
Students, families and the local community are invited to attend and cheer on the teams. Admission is free. Attendees also are asked to bring nonperishable food items to be donated to local food banks.
