VARIOUS CLOSURES ON INTERSTATE 5 - STATE ROUTES 4, 99, 108 & 132

Stanislaus County - The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various closures on Interstate 5 and State Routes 4 (SR-4), SR-99, SR-108, and SR-132 for maintenance and construction work within Stanislaus County next week. Work is scheduled to occur as follows:

State Route 4

• Overnight, intermittent one-way traffic control from the San Joaquin/Stanislaus County line to Hoods Creek for guardrail work beginning Sunday, May 31, through Friday, June 5, 2026, from 7:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m. o The above closure is required as part of the SR-4 Farmington Highway Improvement Project.

Interstate 5

  • Long-term, full closures of the northbound and southbound Westley Safety Roadside Rest Areas and the auxiliary lane leading to the southbound rest area exit for construction work. Note: This project is expected to continue through summer 2026.

State Route 99

  • Moving closures of the #1 (left) and #3 (right) lanes of SR-99 between the Merced County line and the San Joaquin County line for pavement repair beginning Monday, June 1, through Wednesday, June 3 (northbound) and Tuesday, June 2, through Thursday, June 4, 2026 (southbound) from 8:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.
  • Overnight closures of the #2 (middle) and #3 (right) lanes of northbound SR-99 from Hammet Road to the San Joaquin County line for bridge work beginning Saturday, May 30, through Sunday, May 31, 2026, from 10:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
  • Overnight, full closure of the on-ramp from Hammet Road to northbound SR-99 and the #3 (right) lane of northbound SR-99 from Hammet Road to the San Joaquin County line for bridge work beginning Thursday, June 4, through Friday, June 5, from 8:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.

State Route 108

  • Long-term sidewalk and right shoulder closure from Oakdale Road to Estelle Avenue in Riverbank for shoulder work through June 11, 2026.
  • Overnight, one-way traffic control from 8th Street to Mesa Drive in Riverbank for traffic signal work beginning Tuesday, June 2, through Wednesday, June 3, 2026, from 8:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.

State Route 132

  • Overnight alternating lane closures from Ninth Street to Conejo Avenue in Modesto for striping work beginning Monday, June 1 through Friday, June 5, 2026, from 8:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.
  • Long-term right shoulder closure from G Street/9th Street to H Street/9th Street for curb/sidewalk work through June 30, 2026.

Motorists should expect 5-to-10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. All work is scheduled to occur as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials, and construction-related issues.
