The City also honored former Westerville Council Chair Michael Heyeck as the 2026 Champion, presented by current Council Chair Megan Czako.

Assistant City Manager Jason Bechtold presented the Volunteer and Organization of the Year awards to William "Bill" Heaphy III and the Westerville Youth Baseball and Softball League (WYBSL), respectively. Heaphy, was honored for his 7,200 volunteer hours in service of the Westerville History Museum, and the WYBSL was honored for the organization's positive impact on the lives of thousands of community members and fostering community spirit. WYBSL President Scott Wells, accepted the award on the organization's behalf.
