The United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of New York announces that the Honorable Jil Mazer-Marino has been appointed as the Chief Judge of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of New York, effective April 3, 2026.

The court also extends sincere appreciation to Chief Judge Alan S. Trust for his dedicated service and leadership as Chief Judge since 2020. The court is deeply grateful to Chief Judge Trust for making many contributions to the Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of New York and nationally to the administration of justice.
