Carter statement on House Speaker Mike Johnson’s reelection

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Rep. Earl L. "Buddy" Carter (R-GA) today released the following statement after Rep. Mike Johnson (R-LA) was reelected to serve as Speaker of the House for the 119^th Congress:


"I was proud to vote in support of Speaker Mike Johnson on the House floor. He is the right person to lead our conference as we use the mandate President-elect Trump was given by the American people to change how Washington works. Johnson is a man of faith, strong moral character, and is a constitutional law expert.
