Meet a Colleague: Amy Earnest Amy Earnest is Associate Director of Law School Advancement.

Amy Earnest is the Associate Director of Law School Advancement and has worked at W&L Law since July 7, 2025. Prior to joining W&L Law, Amy worked in advancement at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and Shippensburg University in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania. Amy is originally from Florida but grew up in Pennsylvania and considers that "home." Amy has an adult son, a new daughter-in-law, and a 4-year-old red retriever grand-dog.

Q. Where is your favorite location on the W&L campus?
I don't know if I have been here long enough to have a favorite location but, I do absolutely love the colonnade. I mean, who wouldn't love that view! I can't wait to experience campus throughout each season.

Q. What is your favorite thing to do when you are not working?
Spending time with my family and friends; exploring Lexington and the surrounding area.

Q. Who inspires you?
My son. He is kind, hard-working, and caring. He recently got married to a beautiful young woman whom I love very much, and I could not be prouder of the man he is.

Q. If you could have coffee or tea with one person, who would it be and why?
My mom. I used to live near her, and we'd have coffee each morning before I went to work. After I moved away, we started "virtual coffee meetings" each morning, but it isn't the same!

Q. What is an accomplishment you are proud of?
Being the first in my family to graduate from college.

Q. Favorite food/restaurant/drink?
I have recently stumbled upon the pimento BLT at The Palms. I don't know who decided to put pimento cheese on a BLT but, thank you, it is delicious!

Q. What is the most adventurous thing you have ever done?
I went skydiving with the Army Golden Knight parachute team.

Q. Most used/enjoyable app on your phone?
Lately, I have been obsessed with a game called HexaAway.

Q. Tell us something some people may not know about you?
I nerd out on sports … baseball, football, golf, tennis, soccer, college basketball … and love watching them live or on TV. But I am a PA girl, and my sports allegiance is with Philly!
