Each spring, the University of Cincinnati's College of Cooperative Education and Professional Studies honors students for outstanding achievement in experiential learning.
The following three students in UC's School of Information Technology were recognized for their achievements in cooperative education. Their stories help to illustrate why the University of Cincinnati is a top five university for co-ops and internships according to U.S. News Best Colleges rankings.

Emma Brantley has taken full advantage of her classroom and field experiences at UC. After completing a co-op at Mass Mutual, Brantley secured a co-op on her own at Viasat in Duluth, Georgia, near her hometown of Atlanta, as a software engineer. She completed three co-op rotations and a master's degree project with the company - as a student in the School of IT's accelerated program, Brantley will receive a bachelor's degree and a master's degree this spring. After graduation, Brantley will begin her career at Viasat as a software engineer.
Mansfield, Ohio, native Anna Pham completed her first co-op as an IT technician with a local school district, then completed four co-ops with 84.51 in infrastructure and cloud technology on the desktop engineering, dev pipelines, data availability, and clickstream team. She has been involved in the UC community as president of her sorority and of the Vietnamese Student Association and as director of programming for the Multicultural Greek Council.
Coming to UC from India, Deon Sequeira made outstanding contributions at Ocean Technologies Group. He demonstrated exceptional communication and critical thinking skills, actively sought feedback, refined his approach, and led impactful projects. His ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly, engage in cross-cultural communication, and adapt to diverse work environments showcases his preparedness for a dynamic IT career.

When he graduates from UC's School of Information Technology in May 2025, Colin Malott will have three years of interning with NASA to put on his resume. Malott was awarded a Scholarship for Service through the government agency whose leadership says he has all of the qualities that make a model intern.
