NOTICE OF RESIDENT DEATH AT CORRECTIONAL TREATMENT FACILITY
On Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at approximately 9:58 a.m., DC Department of Corrections (DOC) security personnel found resident Kelly Williams (53), unresponsive in her cell at the Correctional Treatment Facility. Immediate life-saving measures were performed by DOC staff and medical personnel. DC Fire and EMS responded to continue life-saving efforts; however, Ms. Williams was pronounced dead at approximately 10:24 a.m.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine cause and manner of death. The Metropolitan Police Department is leading the investigation and working in coordination with the DOC Office of Investigative Services.
