One-Way Traffic Control Next Week

Amador County - The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will have one-way traffic controls for construction and maintenance work on State Route 49 (SR-49), SR-88, and SR-124 in Amador County next week. Work is scheduled to occur as follows:

State Route 49

  • Overnight, one-way traffic control between Laverone Street and one mile north of Laverone Street in Plymouth for electrical work beginning Sunday, August 30, through Friday, September 4, 2026, from 8:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.

State Route 88

  • Long-term, full-time, one-way traffic control between Carson Drive and approximately 300 feet east of Carson Drive for slope repair beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, August 31, through September 30, 2026.
  • One-way traffic control between Jackson Valley Road and Martin Lane for tree work on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
  • OOne-way traffic control between Dew Drop Road West and Dew Drop Road East for electrical work beginning Monday, August 31, through Friday, September 4, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
  • One-way traffic control between Cooks Station and Panther Creek Road for drainage work beginning Monday, August 31, through Thursday, September 3, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
  • One-way traffic control at Peddler Hill Maintenance Station for electrical work beginning Monday, August 31, through Thursday, September 3, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

State Route 124

  • One-way traffic control at Buena Vista Road for tree work on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

Motorists should expect 5-to-10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. All work is scheduled to occur as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials, and construction-related issues.
