NEW CASTLE - As another stretch of high temperatures and dangerous heat index values is expected across Delaware, the Delaware Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS) is opening cooling centers to provide residents with a safe place to escape the heat.
DHSS facilities are open as cooling centers June 30 through July 2 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. These spaces offer a safe, air-conditioned environment where anyone can cool down and stay hydrated.
The State's cooling stations are:
New Castle County
Kent County
Sussex County
* Hudson, Williams, and Adams State Service Centers will be open until 6 p.m. on Wednesday, July 1.
