Marine Advisory - South Gulf Cove Lock Closure Sept. 23-Oct. 3

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (Sept. 18, 2025) - The South Gulf Cove Lock will be closed 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., and again from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 23 through Friday, Oct. 3 for Creative Marine Construction to perform maintenance on the lock.
During periods when marine crews are not obstructing the lock, the lock tender can manually open it to permit vessels to pass through it. The lock will still be accessible for manual opening after hours.
