Motor Vehicle Collision – Fatality: C26-71505

On March 28, 2026, at 2:57 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service Traffic Unit responded to the intersection of Dufferin Avenue and Main Street for a report of a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian and tractor-trailer.

A 50-year-old woman was transported to hospital in critical condition and later succumbed to her injuries.

The driver of the tractor-trailer remained on scene and was cooperative with the investigation. The Traffic Division continues to investigate.

Anyone with information, or who may have dashcam, security, or cell phone video from around the time of the incident, is asked to contact the Traffic Unit at 204-986-7085 or anonymously through Crime Stoppers 204-786-TIPS or winnipegcrimestoppers.org.
