The Florida Veterans Support Line (FVSL) and the Santa Rosa Veterans Service Office have partnered with local, veteran-owned Smoothie King to offer veterans a chance to learn more about local resources and get answers to questions about general benefits and compensation monthly. The event will now be held on the last Thursday of every month at the Smoothie King, 4952 Hwy. 90, in Pace, beginning on Thursday, June 26, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
" Being able to offer this support every month means a lot to us," said Gwen Wilson, Community Support Director at Santa Rosa County. "It's a simple but meaningful way to connect with our veterans, show our appreciation, and remind them that the community is here for them, every step of the way. "
Laurie Schulze, Veterans Services Officer for Santa Rosa County, also highlighted the importance of the event, saying, " We're proud to support our local veterans-not just in offices, but right here in the community. Partnering with a veteran-owned business like Smoothie King helps us connect with those who've served and remind them they're never alone."
Veterans are encouraged to stop by Smoothie King to meet with representatives, explore available resources, and gain insights into benefits and compensation programs.
