Applications for California Apprenticeship Council Training Funds close November 14

The Department of Industrial Relations (DIR)'s Division of Apprenticeship Standards (DAS) application for the California Apprenticeship Council (CAC) Training Funds will close on November 14, 2025.
- Applications open: September 23, 2025
- Applications close: November 14, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. PST
The CAC training fund has grown from $3 million to $20 million annually, a nearly sevenfold increase in support funding for building and construction trade apprenticeship programs. To distribute funds efficiently, DAS moved to an electronic system, the California Outreach Rapid Deployment (CORD) platform.
Contractors on public works projects are still required to contribute training funds at the prevailing wage rates set by law (California Labor Code 1777.5).
