(DAYTON, OHIO) - Due to road closures along Wayne Avenue for St. Patrick's Day celebrations, the Greater Dayton RTA will be adjusting Routes 3, 4 and 12 starting Monday, March 16, and lasting through Wednesday, March 18.
Wayne Avenue will be closed between Fifth and Bainbridge streets for the annual St. Patrick's Day celebration at the Dublin Pub restaurant. The reroutes will last all day Monday through Wednesday morning. Regular bus routing will resume at the beginning of the service day on Wednesday.
There will be no through traffic - northbound or southbound - on Wayne Avenue between Bainbridge and Fifth streets. Starting Monday, southbound Route 3 from Third Street will turn right onto Keowee Street, left on Wayne Avenue and back to its regular route. The northbound Route 3 reroute will be in reverse.
Eastbound Route 4 will deviate onto Fifth Street, Keowee Street and Xenia Avenue to go around the closure. The westbound Route 4 reroute will be in reverse.
Southbound Route 12 from Fifth Street will use Patterson Boulevard, Jefferson Street, Warren Street, Buckeye Street and Wayne Avenue to go around the closure with the northbound reroute going in reverse.
St. Patrick's Day partygoers who want to be safe and not worry about parking near the party can use the RTA and easily plan their trip to the festivities by using the Transit app.
