Archana Vemulapalli Joins Goldman Sachs as Partner and Head of AI Product Management and Strategic Relations

New York, April 6, 2026 - The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. (NYSE: GS) today announced that Archana Vemulapalli has joined the firm as a Partner in Engineering and Global Head of AI Product Management and Strategic Relations.

In this role, Archana will work with teams throughout Engineering globally and in partnership with divisions across Goldman Sachs to continue to develop AI offerings and deploy innovative solutions to help advance the firm's priorities. She will also lead strategic engagement with frontier AI labs and AI application providers.

Archana brings over two decades of engineering and leadership experience to her new role. She joins from Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), where she led enterprise AI commercialization, strengthened strategic industry partnerships, and helped shape the company's enterprise AI strategy. Prior to AMD, she served as Global Head of Product and Strategy for Data and AI at Amazon Web Services, where she led product strategy and accelerated enterprise adoption of AI services. She also worked at IBM as general manager and chief technology officer for Global Technology Services and in the public sector as chief technology officer and cabinet member for the District of Columbia Government. Additionally, Archana served as an independent director on the board of Paycom.

Archana earned a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Madras, a Master of Science in Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and an Executive Master in Leadership from Georgetown University.
