Judge Diane M. Druzinski has announced her retirement from the bench effective January 9, 2026. She was first elected in 2002 and has served all 23 years in the criminal/civil division of the Court. Judge Druzinski has also served as the Community Corrections Advisory Board Chairperson, served as Chief Judge Pro Tem, presided over Adult Felony Drug Court, been an instructor for Michigan Judges Association's New Judges Courses, and a member of the Court's Case Evaluation Committee.
During her tenure on the bench, Judge Druzinski has presided over many high profile matters. Chief Judge Biernat stated "Diane has been a dedicated trial court judge for the past 23 years. Her passion for the law is obvious by how she efficiently and effectively runs her courtroom. She will be greatly missed, and we hope to see her back as a visiting judge in the near future."
According to Judge Druzinski, she intends to spend time with her grandchildren, travel and perhaps be a part time visiting judge. "It has been my absolute privilege to serve Macomb County for all these years. There are amazing court employees and attorneys in this county that I will miss. When I was first elected, a friend gave me a placard which said: we should never forget as judges what we know as men and women. I have tried to live my judicial life accordingly."
