On the fourth anniversary of the start of the full-scale Russian invasion, the Ukraine - Nordic-Baltic Summit was held in Kyiv. The event was attended by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Finland Alexander Stubb, Prime Minister of Denmark Mette Frederiksen, Prime Minister of Estonia Kristen Michal, Prime Minister of Iceland Kristrún Frostadóttir, Prime Minister of Latvia Evika Siliņa, Prime Minister of Norway Jonas Gahr Støre, Prime Minister of Sweden Ulf Kristersson, and Minister of National Defense of Lithuania Robertas Kaunas.

During the summit, the main focus was on efforts aimed at achieving a dignified peace. The participants emphasized that any future peace agreement must be based on international law and cannot reward Russian aggression. The partners share a common position: Ukraine continues to demonstrate readiness for peace negotiations, while Russia is only stalling for time.

The leaders also noted that Ukraine must receive credible and legally binding security guarantees to deter further aggression and ensure enduring stability across Europe. The partners emphasized that Ukraine's security is intrinsically linked to the Euro-Atlantic security.

The Nordic and Baltic countries will also continue to provide support to Ukraine. This year, defense assistance will amount close to €12.5 billion, including contributions to the PURL initiative. The partners will also continue providing energy support: this year the total amount of assistance will reach at least €918 million.
