Finstad Applauds House Passage of FY26 National Defense Authorization Act

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Congressman Brad Finstad (MN-01), member of the House Armed Services Committee, released a statement following House passage of H.R. 3838 - the Streamlining Procurement for Effective Execution and Delivery (SPEED) and National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2026 (FY26).

Congressman Finstad voted in support of the legislation, saying, "By cutting government red tape for our servicemembers, streamlining access to the latest capabilities, and continuing strong investments in our defense industrial base, this year's NDAA puts our military in a position to not only deter our adversaries, but restore Peace Through Strength.

"I am glad to see this legislation pass today and I am proud of the work we have done on the House Armed Services Committee to deliver on President Trump's defense priorities and fulfill our commitment to our country's servicemembers, their families, and all Americans."

Included in the FY26 NDAA is Congressman Finstad's Strategic Transparency Act, legislation that ensures the United States remains equipped with the information necessary to respond to China's growing influence and evolving military capabilities. In addition, the FY26 NDAA:

• Codifies all or part of 15 executive orders issued by President Trump and more than 30 legislative provisions requested by the Trump Administration;
• Ends left-wing ideology, wokeism, and DEI in the military;
• Fundamentally reforms the DoD acquisition process, streamlining the delivery of new technologies;
• Raises military pay by 3.8%;
• Authorizes full funding for the Golden Dome;
• Revitalizes the defense industrial base by expanding domestic manufacturing jobs and supply chains, and;
• Saves taxpayers over $20 billion, including $15 billion in DOGE-initiated reforms.
