Overnight Closures of DuSable Lake Shore Drive Bridge Sept. 10 and 15
The Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT) announced two overnight closures of the DuSable Lake Shore Drive Bridge over the main branch of the Chicago River to allow crews to complete maintenance and testing ahead of the fall boat run season.
The bridge will be fully closed from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. on the following dates:
- Thursday, Sept. 10 into Friday, Sept. 11
- Tuesday, Sept. 15 into Wednesday, Sept. 16
Detours will be posted as follows:
Northbound traffic: DuSable Lake Shore Drive to Wacker Drive, Columbus Drive, Illinois Street and back to DuSable Lake Shore Drive.
Southbound traffic: DuSable Lake Shore Drive to Grand Avenue, Columbus Drive, Wacker Drive and back to DuSable Lake Shore Drive.
