Dentons advises EPEI on the acquisition of the AAA Auto and Mototechna used car dealership network

Prague-Global law firm Dentons has advised EP Equity Investment (EPEI), the investment platform of Czech entrepreneur Daniel Křetínský, on the acquisition of a 100% stake in Aures Holdings, a leading multi-brand pre-owned vehicle retailer in Central Europe, operating the AAA Auto, Mototechna and Auto Diskont brands in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland. The seller was the international investment fund Abris Capital Partners. Until completion of the transaction, Aures Holdings will continue to provide services to customers across all markets under its existing brands.

The transaction represents one of the most significant acquisitions of the year in the Czech market. EP Equity Investment has acquired full control of Aures Holdings, which has bult leading positions in Central Europe in pre-owned vehicle sales, financing, and related services. In 2024, the group sold a record 108,661 vehicles and achieved revenues of CZK 31.2 billion.

Dentons acted as lead legal adviser throughout several months of negotiations, in particular in connection with legal due diligence, transaction structuring and the negotiation of the transaction documentation.
