Southbound SR-15 to Northbound I-5 and Northbound I-5 to Northbound SR-15 Connectors Closed August 9

SAN DIEGO - Caltrans will close the southbound State Route 15 (SR-15) connector to northbound Interstate 5 (I-5), the southbound I-5 connector to northbound SR-15, and the northbound I-5 to northbound SR-15 on Sunday, August 9, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. for bridge work.

Motorists on the southbound SR-15 will be detoured onto the southbound I-5 connector, use the W 8th Street off-ramp, turn left onto W 8th Street, and turn left onto the northbound I-5.

Motorists on the southbound I-5 will use the W 8th Street off-ramp, turn left onto W 8th Street, and turn left onto the northbound I-5, then use the northbound I-15 connector.

Motorists on the northbound I-5 will use the National Avenue off-ramp, turn left onto S 28th Street, and turn left onto Boston Avenue. and turn left onto the southbound I-5, then use the northbound SR-15 connector.

Motorists are reminded to be Work Zone Alert if traveling in the area and to watch for highway workers and moving construction equipment.

The work schedule is subject to change due to weather conditions, traffic incidents, or other work-related reasons.
