On Tuesday, President Gitanas Nausėda extended congratulation to President Alar Karis of Estonia and all the people of this country on the 108th anniversary of Estonia's independence.
"This important anniversary meaningfully recalls the courage and determination of the Estonian people that led to the establishment of the Estonian state. It also marks your nation's steadfast commitment to freedom, democracy, and the principles of the rule of law. As we celebrate the 35th anniversary of the restoration of Estonia's independence and the 105th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Lithuania and Estonia this year, we take pride in the close and enduring ties between our states, which we highly value and are committed to strengthening," the message of congratulations reads.
President Gitanas Nausėda underlined shared historical experience that unite Lithuania and Estonia, as well as common values, a strong sense of responsibility for the security of this region, and successful cooperation at both bilateral and multilateral levels.
"I look forward to your state visit to Vilnius in April. I am confident that this visit will provide an excellent opportunity to further strengthen our political dialogue, discuss key issues of cooperation, and give new momentum to fostering the meaningful bonds of friendship between our countries," the President wrote in his message of congratulations.
On national day, Gitanas Nausėda wished Estonia and all the people of this country unity, strength, and continued success in building their country's future.
