The Annual Irvine 2/11 Marine Adoption Committee Baby Gift Drive Begins March 29
The City of Irvine and the Irvine 2/11 Marine Adoption Committee are hosting the annual Baby Gift Drive to benefit the adopted 2/11 Marine Battalion Sunday, March 29, through Tuesday, April 21.
This initiative helps provide essential supplies, support, and care to Marine families welcoming new babies. Community members are invited to donate new, unopened items such as highchairs, playpens, baby monitors, baby carriers, diapers, baby clothing, baby care kits, baby bathtubs, infant towels, baby toiletries, baby books, and wipes.
Shop locally or purchase items online from the Amazon wish list(link is external)to donate to the Baby Gift Drive. This drive is a great opportunity to express gratitude to the brave men and women of the 2/11 Marine Battalion and their families.
Donation drop-offs can be made through Tuesday, April 21, during the following hours at the locations below:
- Irvine City Hall, 1 Civic Center Plaza | 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday
- Irvine Police Department, 1 Civic Center Plaza | 7:30 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-1 p.m., Saturday
- Great Park Visitors Center, 8000 Great Park Blvd. | 11 a.m.-7 p.m., Daily.
Monetary donations are also accepted.
The Irvine 2/11 Marine Adoption Committee supports the City's adopted Marine battalion by participating in and donating to a variety of activities, including holiday and pre-deployment events, care packages, toy drives, and more.
