CHARLESTON, W.Va. - Governor Patrick Morrisey today announced the appointment of John K. Jordan to represent the 42nd District in the West Virginia House of Delegates. The vacancy was created by the resignation of Brandon Steele.
John Jordan has been Lead Pastor at Calvary Assembly of God in Beckley since 1998, where he and his wife Stephanie guide the church with weekly sermons and scriptural teachings, facilitating weekly ministries, and providing pastoral care and counseling. He is responsible for supervising daily office operations, developing the annual Church Budget, and managing finances. Jordan also serves as Assistant Superintendent of the Appalachian Ministry Network and General Presbyter of the General Council of the Assemblies of God. He has been Chaplain at Raleigh General Hospital since 2000, providing spiritual care for patients and family members.
Jordan received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of The Cumberlands and a Master of Science in Church Leadership from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary.
