Excellence by Design Year 1 Progress Report now available

The Excellence by Design Year 1 Progress Report reflects the first annual report to evaluate the advancement of Illinois State University's strategic plan. Excellence by Design: 2024-2030 was approved by the Board of Trustees in May of 2024, and fiscal year 2025 was spent on implementation planning and developing metrics to measure success. Fiscal year 2026 was the first year of implementation and the metrics contained herein captures that work.

The report assesses the metrics that measure the progress of each of the four strategic direction goals. Within each strategic direction, annual progress updates are highlighted, along with areas to watch. As the University moves into the next few years of implementation, continuous assessment is imperative to ensure success by 2030.

The Excellence by Design Year 1 Progress Report was shared with the Illinois State University Board of Trustees in October 2026.
